Please read these terms carefully before using TailWind

1. Platform Overview

TailWind is a technology platform that connects pet owners with independent contractor drivers for pet transport services. We do not provide transport services directly but facilitate connections between customers and drivers.

2. User Accounts

Account Creation

  • Users must provide accurate and complete information
  • Users are responsible for maintaining account security
  • One account per person or business entity

Account Responsibilities

  • Keep login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Update account information when changes occur
3. For Customers

Platform Fee

Customers pay a flat $25 platform fee per transport booking, regardless of distance.

48-Hour Bid Guarantee

If no qualified drivers submit bids within 48 hours of posting your shipment, customers may request a full refund of the $25 platform fee by emailing with their shipment ID. Qualified drivers are defined as those who have passed background checks, maintain current insurance, and operate in the shipment's service area.

Driver Selection

  • Customers choose from available driver bids
  • All transport agreements are directly between customer and driver
  • TailWind facilitates communication but is not party to transport contracts

Pet Requirements

  • Current vaccination records required
  • Health certificates as required by law
  • Accurate pet information must be provided
4. For Drivers

Subscription Model

Drivers pay $25/month for platform access after a free trial period. Drivers keep 100% of customer payments.

Driver Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Current auto insurance meeting state requirements
  • Pass background check and vehicle inspection
  • Complete TailWind safety training

Independent Contractor Status

  • Drivers operate as independent contractors
  • Drivers set their own rates and schedules
  • Drivers are responsible for their own insurance and compliance
5. Platform Usage

Acceptable Use

  • Use platform only for pet transport purposes
  • Provide accurate and honest information
  • Treat all users with respect and professionalism
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Prohibited Activities

  • Fraudulent or misleading information
  • Harassment or inappropriate behavior
  • Circumventing platform fees
  • Using platform for illegal activities
6. Limitation of Liability

TailWind is a technology platform only. We do not:

  • Provide transport services directly
  • Control driver behavior or actions
  • Guarantee transport outcomes
  • Provide insurance coverage for transports

All transport agreements are between customers and drivers. TailWind's liability is limited to platform-related issues only.

7. Insurance and Safety

Driver Insurance

Drivers must maintain their own insurance coverage. TailWind does not provide blanket insurance for transports.

Safety Standards

While we maintain platform safety standards, customers and drivers are responsible for ensuring their specific transport needs are met.

8. Payment Terms

Customer Payments

  • $25 platform fee charged upon booking
  • Transport fees paid directly to chosen driver
  • Refunds subject to driver's individual policies

Driver Subscriptions

  • $25/month subscription fee after free trial
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled
  • 30-day notice required for cancellation
9. Disputes and Resolution

Transport-related disputes are primarily between customers and drivers. TailWind provides support for platform-related issues and will assist in facilitating communication when appropriate.

10. Changes to Terms

TailWind reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications.
